Has anyone used shine supply trim coat black?

I have some really faded trim on my my truck stepsides and on my jeep wheel fenders. I was all set to pull the trigger on Solution Finish Black but stumbled on to Shine Supply here at the CarPro store. I can find lots of videos and photo reviews with Solution Finish, but nothing on Shine Supply. Does anyone have experience with this product that we can see?

I just watched a few of Corey's videos on YouTube using Dlux. And while I agree it does some darkening, I think I need something that will get it back to black before I lock it in with a coating. I wonder if the products have any synergistic value even though they aren't from the same product "family"?

Short answer: Yes

Here's my thoughts...Two things have always been my nemesis.
Trim and tire products.

For Trim...
Shine Supply Trim Coat Black makes the trim black. I like that!
IMHO Trim Coat Black creates a black slightly matte looking finish.

I follow Trim Coat Black with CQuartz Dlux Plastic & Rubber Coating.
Why? Two reasons: Dlux offers a bit more shine and lots of durability.

Bottom Line: Although it takes two products I get black and longevity.

I love Dlux.Day and night and day on a customers H2, as well as my 02 Harley F150

This was grey...

Yep, mine look awesome, in fact, I did it at 9:30 on a saturday night with at least 15 beers in me, and I can clearly see where I missed, haha

I'm sold as well. Restoring black trim has as been an exercise in frustration with good results lasting only days or weeks. Thanks for the info!

IMHO Dlux does darken the trim "some" but does not make it black.
My thoughts...If you had used the Shine Supply Trim Coat Black first, it would have

Here's a blurb from the Shine Supply website...

"When your trim is extremely faded and beyond reconditioning, you need a product that will actually restore color.

Trim Paint Black is a water-based paint for your exterior black trim. This product is not a “quick fix” trim gel or dressing, it is an actual paint designed to work automotive trim. When applied, Trim Paint Black soaks into the top layer of dead trim and restores its rich color. You will be left with a strong healthy layer of plastic and paint which guarantees you fresh-looking durable results.

Directions:

Shake well. Wear gloves, product will stain. Make sure trim is free from any residue by wiping with our Throwback paint cleanser. Apply a generous amount of Trim Paint to one of our black applicator pads or applicator of your choice. Make one pass over the surface similar to how you would apply paint to a wall. Do not rub or use circular motions. Your first coat will be dry to the touch within a few minutes and then apply a second coat using the same method. You may apply Trim Shine/Trim Shield immediately after the Trim Paint and use it for maintenance as well. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Last about 90-120 days with proper maintenance.

Shine Supply Trim Coat Black is pretty easy to work with. (wear gloves)
What I have found is, if you seal Shine Supply Trim Coat Black with Dlux it is much darker/black/shiny and lasts a LOT longer.

Yep. This is what I came here for. I just put my order in with confidence because of you guys and this very awesome forum. I think Autogeek will never see another dollar of mine again because of how to the point the responses here are. No opinions, all results. I love it.
